Living In The Lap Of Luxury In Corsica
Last year my wife and I decided to book a Simpson Travel winter break. We browsed several web sites on luxury holidays in Corsica with another couple who were going with us. There are many beautiful villas in Corsica and because nobody had stayed in a villa previously, we decided to stay in one for our holiday in Corsica.
We were most impressed when we got to our place of residence in Corsica. The villa we were to be staying at was a far cry from the small flat we have on the outskirts of Liverpool. I had never experienced this level of comfort and luxury before. We had our own private swimming pool, marble flooring throughout and high spec equipment in every room of the villa. Waking up to breathtaking sea views everyday was marvellous.
Every day in Corsica was total enjoyment. Each day I would rise early to get an early morning swim in, making good use of the pool. We would plan the day ahead over breakfast by the poolside, while staring out at the amazing views of the sea. Most of our days in Corsica, was spent touring the island on foot. There was always plenty of places to go and see and loads of interesting things to do. The locals we met on our travels about the island, always seemed to greet us with a warm smile and were very helpful when we asked for it.
At night we sometimes had a barbecue by the poolside. Dining out underneath the stars was a tremendous feeling. On some evenings we went into town to try out the fine restaurants there.
If you have never been on a self catering holiday to Corsica before, I would highly recommend it. The memories our holiday gave me are ones I will treasure for quite some time.
