Sparse And Unusual UFO Reserve Bibliography
The "Annals of the House of Life", records of Egyptian Pharaoh Thutmose III, tells of sightings of lights within the sky. The Romans had many experiences with unusual sightings in addition. Within the Twelfth Century there were a variety of "portents" in Japan and Europe. (A portent is definitely an omen or sign believed to foreshadow a coming event and can induce panics.)
Many books, articles and pamphlets seem to have been written on UFOs. Below is known as a list of just a few of the rare and hard-to-find books about the subject. Certainly not is this full list nor is it intended as a "must have" list to experience a serious collection. These books are valued from $60.00 to over $10000.00 and may be difficult to find.
- Liber Chronicarum by Hartmann Schedel, published 1493. There is one original copy within a French Museum. Luckily it was reprinted in English in 1948 by Burndy Books. This book may offer the earliest pictorial representation of any UFO in Europe. In 1034, a fiery sphere soared throughout the sky. The illustration shows a cigar shaped object with flames surrounding it.
- Prodigiorum AC Ostentorum Chronicon by Conrad (Wolffhart) Lycosthenes. Published 1557. This book boasts 670 pages and 1500 woodcuts. It covers a wide array of aerial phenomena, sea creatures, earthquakes, weather, and all kinds of mysterious happenings including strange flying objects. This book will set you back at the very least $10,000.00.
- The Shocking Truth by Albert Coe. Published right Fund, 1969. Hardback, 112 pages. Illustrated by Thomas Lulevitch. Mr. Coe claims that they was contacted by aliens by the 1920s and such is your earliest recorded date with this contact.
- UFO within the North Atlantic by Commander Graham E. Bethune. Published in 1999, from the author. Comb-bound paperback with 26 pages of text and 28 pages of photos, maps, sketches and official documents. The author has been a U.S. Navy pilot in 1951. On February 10 of their year, a UFO sighting was made inside the North Atlantic. The author was involved and "Project Twinkle" was born. This is his story of their incident.
- Report at the UFO Wave of 1947 by Ted Bloecher. Paperback published by NICAP (National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena) in 1967. 1947 must have been a banner designs year for sightings. The author provides details on over 850 the strategies.
- Georgia's Aerial Phenomenon, 1947-1987 by Michael D. Hitt. Comb-bound paperback published by the author, 1999. 150 pages. A chronological account of sightings in Georgia which saw numerous reports. Difficult printing.
- The Pawn of His Creator by Henry Dohan. Comb-bound paperback published by DRK Foundation. No date, 316 pages. Covers the sightings and contacts of many 1950s.
- Cosmic Philosophy by George Adamski. Hardback, unknown publisher , 1961. 87 pages. A well-known contact, the author gives his philosophy of life and concepts of consciousness. It corresponds together with the life forms that contacted him.
- Flying Saucers Are Watching You by John C. Sherwood. Paperback published by Saucerian Books, 1967. 118 pages. Illustrated with photos, newspaper accounts and drawings.
- Spacemen Friends and Foes by Trevor James. Paperback published by New Age Publishing, 1956. 36 pages, Parts I and II. Covers theories at the origin and intent of many aliens. The author had telepathic interviews with aliens and was taught somewhat on how to differentiate between friendly and hostile aliens and UFOs.
The libraries of UFO reseachers and investigators are certainly not complete without a minimum of one third these titles. Interesting, informative and thought provoking will be the main descriptions of many above titles.
