Why does Super Bowl XLVI have to be anything about you? Seriously. If I'm Eli
Manning, I'm not happy with big brother. Yeah, let's not forget about Eli, the
guy who has had to answer more questions about Peyton Manning than himself
this week. You know, he's the QB for the New York Giants, the guy going for a
second ring Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium against the New England Patriots.
Remember him? If I'm Colts owner Jim Irsay, I'm also a little ticked off. Each
time the boss suggests the future is an unknown, we hear from Manning or
someone we presume Manning spoke to contradict that and say Manning is coming
along just fine in his rehab from single-level anterior neck fusion surgery.
Each time we think this Manning will-he-stay-or-will-he-go saga quiets down,
something else comes up. And it doesn't matter if it's really news. The
information reported today by ESPN didn't exactly qualify as anything new.
