Installing The MagicJack Software

Lots of people have thought about trying MagicJack before, but they did not want to leave their computer on all the time without ever turning it off. This problem has now been addressed with the new MagicJack Plus. With the new Plus you just plug into an electrical outlet for power, and then it plugs into a regular landline phone and your broadband router or modem just like the old MagicJack device does.
Don't want to lose your old phone number? That works, because MagicJack lets you keep your old phone number, so that no matter where you use your MagicJack in the world, you'll have your old phone number with you. It doesn't matter if you are in Timbuktu, or Greece, if you've got a high speed internet connection and electricity, you'll have access to your phone service.
The basic steps that are required to install the regular MagicJack, are to turn on your computer and plug the MagicJack device into a regular USB port. The device will then contact the MagicJack server and download the MagicJack software to your computer. When that is finished, insert a regular phone line into the MagicJack dongle, and you will now have unlimited phone service in Canada and the US.
Installing the MagicJack Plus is even easier. Insert the MagicJack Plus into 110 electricity, then plug in a telephone line and a high speed cat-5 cable line. (The broadband internet cord, called a cat-5 line, comes with your new MagicJack Plus.) When all the cables are plugged in, you're done, and now have unlimited phone Canada and the US.
