What to enjoy about the summer in Britain
While writing this article the weather outside my window isnt looking great, and were still waiting for warm weather to kick in. As we hope for some warmer weather once june hits us, here some things that we all love about the summer.
- Pubs open up their beer gardens. This one is a great one, we get to sit outside in the summer nights having a drink, enjoying the weather. More than anyone else smokers benefit from getting a beer garden in the summer, they dont have to excuse themselves and go for a cigarette. Plus does anything beat having a cold beer and sitting outside with your friends on a summers day? If anyone has let me know, because i dont know about it.
- Festivals are on. we'll get to enjoy going away with our friends to festivals, having alot of beer and seeing bands that we've always wanted to see. This usually means dealing with a few thousand other people who have gone to the festival. But you get to eat nothing but junk food, make new friends with the guys next door. Yes, the toliets are always terrible and you wont shower for five or so days, but the good outweighs the bad? Youll always come back with a story or 12 about what happened on the weekend, and have a great time. With Reading, Download, Bloodstock and Glastonbury on this year, there's a festival for everyone.
- Bbqs. Yup, the summer is an excuse to get everyone into your garden to be having a beer and a burger or two while talking about what they have been up to after you last saw them. You know that your going to have a good time with your friends, whether your the host or not.
