How Often You Should Be Publishing Your Ezine?
In this article we look at publishing ezine. These days most marketers who build their own list don't necessarily call it an ezine, they just build a list and start sending marketing messages to that list. That is a great way to build your Internet business, but this time we look specifically at publishing an ezine and your ezine publishing schedule.
Building a list and publishing an ezine is an important aspect of your internet business. If you are just sending business opportunity ads to your list you will find that most of your subscribers will remove themselves from your list.
You should also offer them value and that's where publishing an ezine can be an excellent tool to build trust and also offer true value to those who have given their email address to you.
It seems that many online ezines are just thrown together to send ads to readers, but if you plan to publish a high quality ezine you should plan it well ahead.
As you start creating your ezine take one day for researching and writing your ezine. Make sure you also proofread it so it will look professional.
One day should be enough if you publish one self written article per ezine. Once you get more effective you can write your ezine faster and add more content. However, don't make your ezines too long as online attention span can be quite short. Short and to the point articles seem to work best.
Your first goal is to publish your ezine twice a month. I know that there are marketers who send something every day, but that can be very tough for a newbie and it will also lower the quality of your ezine. I know that some marketers prefer daily or weekly ezines, but if you are a beginner it might be better to start with one or two per month and eventually increase to weekly issues.
One of the most important things when you start publishing ezine is to set your publishing date and stick to it. It is quite unprofessional to send your ezine just when you feel like it. If you don't have material ready use guest articles. You can find great articles online on almost any niche. Remember to check that you are allowed to re-print the article and always credit the original author.
Publishing an ezine is bit different than just send out a report or a short 'how to course. You can use those to capture subscribers, but eventually you need to create content that is of value to your subscribers.
These days creating good content is not difficult; just use the Internet to learn about your chosen niche, read books and articles and you can create excellent articles in no time. Again, learn from experts, but never copy, create your own material based on what you have learned.
It is also a great idea to use your blog together with your ezine list. You can either send an email to your list announcing that your latest ezine is online or you can publish your ezine both on your blog and on your ezine.
As email deliverability is quite poor it might be a good idea to publish your ezine online and just send a short email to your list with a link to your blog. Of course this requires that your reader clicks the link so there are certain risks with this way of publishing as well.
If you have decided to start building a list and publish an ezine start slowly, publish on a certain day of the week, keep your schedule and create, good original content. Also, use a good autoresponder service that can deliver most of your newsletters.
